Corona Insights employee Matt Bruce

Matt Bruce Principal

Matt is passionate about using critical thinking and creative problem solving to help organizations find data-driven solutions to their problems. His experience working across government, non-profit, and education sectors allows him to understand our customers’ opportunities, constraints, and unique point-of-view. After devoting ten years to environmental education and volunteer management, Matt gained a M.S. at the University of Idaho, a move that steered his career into social science research.

Although Matt takes a pragmatic approach to market research, he is particularly skilled at sampling hard-to-reach populations, designing surveys, and crunching numbers. Matt’s ability to mine demographic data and employ Global Information Systems (GIS) software helps clients answer questions and visually understand spatial patterns.

While Matt has traveled extensively through Africa, Asia, and the U.S. West, these days he can be found exploring his native Colorado by bike, foot, and boat. He also enjoys spending time with his family and volunteering at ecological restoration projects from the plains to the peaks.

Education

Matt earned a B.A. in Environmental Studies with a certificate in Leadership Studies from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and a M.S. in Natural Resources (social science emphasis) from the University of Idaho. His research has been published in the journal Restoration Ecology.
